Internship at Green River Pottery
In 2018, as we open our adjacent teaching studio, interns will be working more in the new space. If you are enthusiastic & curious about clay, have some blocks of time to contribute, & would like to get involved - let me know!
An intern can now serve as a 'studio monitor' who is on-duty in the teaching studio, helping direct work flow, cleanup, classtime prep.
Perks: workspace & worktime when there's a lull. You can use the facility & materials to pursue your own pots. Possibly can grown into a paid position.
Duties: prepare clay, mix glazes, load & fire bisque kilns, help studio users find their way around, track & organize student work, clean, be ready to take on other tasks as they come up.
Qualifications: great communication, work ethic, passion for clay & art, personal accountability, references.
Send us a letter
Or give a call if that's easier. Let us know who you are & what your interest & involvement with clay is like, where you'd like to go with that, and, if possible, send some thumbnails of some of your recent work!
I am always happy to hear from students, potential potters & artists, motivated & creative people overall.
