Handbuilding the human form

$175.00

In this four-hour workshop, learn a fun & easy technique for sculpting the head & shoulders of a human. Best if you have some experience with clay already.

Our teacher, visiting from Tucson, will cover some handy rules of thumb for creating faces, hair (or creative substitutes), calculating body proportions, and will demonstrate some surface treatment options using slips & oxide stains.

You’ll leave with a piece that is done or close to it. The studio will bisque fire your work & you can arrange to return & complete your form if you’d like (there may be a $15 charge for a 3-hour work session in the studio if so).

Cost: $175 includes clay (BMix without grog), glaze, firing
