Intermediate Wheel June 2024

$265.00

Cylinder, bowl, plate…lid, handle, spout.

For this 5-week abbreviated class, meeting Saturdays June 8 - July 6, we return to some fundamentals.

Earlier this spring we learned a bit about Marguerite Wildenhain & her method at Pond Farm – in this class we'll remember that she emphasized ‘basic’ forms. At first, her students didn’t even keep what they made, they recycled it all. Not that you’ll have to do that.

Our goals for this class will include greater ease & fluency with the basic shapes, lots of practice with basic attachments & alterations such as handles, and, as always, creating a congenial class session on Saturdays to inspire your ongoing independent sessions that you book through the week. Previous wheel experience required.

Time: Saturdays 10am - 12pm, June 8 - July 6
Note: looks like we will have to reschedule the last meeting of this class since it conflicts with our geo-ceramic field trip. As we meet for the first time we’ll consider options.

Cost: $265 includes clay & firing

Teacher: Theo

Limit: 9 students
