Mugs, Cups, & Teabowls
Join this 3-hour workshop to survey some approaches to these basic & central pottery forms. The session will cover throwing, trimming on the banding wheel, and handles. Asymmetry will be a guiding principle, and ways to use the potter’s wheel to intentionally off-center your work will be explored.
Demonstration, discussion, and worktime, in this hands-on workshop. If you don’t finish your pieces during the session, we can arrange worktime for you to finish making & trimming on another day. An optional glazing session is planned for two weeks after the workshop.
This workshop is great if you have some wheel experience & want to broaden your range of making methods & design options.
