As a studio potter for almost thirty years, and a middle-school English teacher before that, and a river guide, I’ve developed an enthusiasm for the creative process, and for clay of course, and for the way each class is different, and each potter’s learning style is as different as the pots they make.
Classes at Green River are easygoing, conversational, spontaneous, humorous (depending on the week). They focus on the basics of technique and form, and acknowledge the way we each pursue beauty in our own way.
We study famous potters, and thrift store finds, and try to take a moment to look at our own pieces as they emerge from the kiln.
Please let us know if you’d like to be on the waitlist for an upcoming class!
